The West Fort Collins Water District (WFCWD) was formed in 1964.  The district is centered around the town of La Porte but extends service to the foothills west of Fort Collins where the elevation changes nearly 1000 feet from our east boundary at the intersection of North College Avenue and Colorado Highway 1 to our west boundary in the Mill Canyon neighborhood, creating a very challenging environment.  The District encompasses an area of approximately 40 square miles and maintains over 30 miles of distribution water lines.
